Visita al Vivero Jardin de la Victoria

Hoy llevamos a los alumnos mas pequeños (3 años) a visitar el Vivero Jardín de la Victoria, el vivero y floristería más hermoso del barrio, donde pudimos ver muchas plantas, flores, aromáticas, arbustos y arboles.

Today we took the youngest pupils (3 year olds) to visit the Vivero Jardin de la Victoria, our beautiful local plant nursery and florist, where we could enjoy seeing many plants, flowers, aromatic herbs, bushes and trees.
 

Primero vimos a las flores- habían de todos colores, amarillas, rosas, rojas, lila, hasta había flores negras!
First, we looked at the flowers, ready in their flowerpots ready to buy and take home. There were flowers of every colour: yellow, pink, red, purple- there were even black flowers!

Aprendimos como las abejas cojen el polen de las flores para hacer miel.
We learned how bees collect pollen from The flowers to make honey.

También descrubrimos porque algunas flores tienen espinas para evitar que los animalitos los molesten.
We also discovered why some flowers such as roses, have thorns; to stop little animals from eating them!

Vimos a unos limones amarillos en el Limonero. Olían rico y cítrico!

We spotted some bright yellow lemons on the Lemon Tree. They smelled delicious and citrusy!

También su compañero el naranjo era espectacular a los niños les gustaba mucho la idea de tener un naranjo o limonero en casa!

The Orange tree was also spectacular and the children liked The idea of having an Orange tree or lemon tree at home!

Luego, analizamos muchas plantas  con hojas diferentes. Había hojas largas y finas, pequeñas y redondas, grandes y ovales, algunas que pinchaban....

Then, we analysed many diverse plants with different leaves. Long and thin leaves, small and round ones, large and oval leaves, some which were spikey...

Pudimos oler varias plantas aromáticas como la menta y el orégano.

We were able to smell various aromatic herbs such as mint and oregano.

Aprendimos que en algunas culturas se comen pétalos de flores, y que se usan tambien para hacer perfumes, aceites y medicinas.

We learned that some cultures enjoy eating flower petals, and that you can also make perfume and special oils and medicine with them.

Fue genial porque ademas de conocer varias plantas y flores, pudimos hacer un recorrido entre los arbustos y arbolitos que gozamos un monton!
It was super because we discovered different plants and flowers, we could walk around the tall plants, bushes and little trees which we really enjoyed!

Tambien, dimos todos un fuerte abrazo al arbol grande en el centro del Vivero Para darle amor y animo para seguir creciendo grande y fuerte.

We also all stopped to make sure we hugged the big tree in the middle of the Nursery to give it love and courage to carry on growing big and strong.

Lo pasamos genial en el Vivero Jardin de la Victoria!

We had a super time in the Florist and want to go back!
